How to Print a Poster from iPhone or iPad

An iPhone or iPad can create and print a multi-page poster without a desktop computer. First convert the image into a tiled PDF, then print the PDF pages through the normal iOS or iPadOS share and print controls.

A larger iPad screen makes layout review easier, but the same workflow works on iPhone.

Open PrintTiler in Safari, select the image from Photos or Files, choose the paper layout, and download the tiled PDF. Open the PDF, choose Print from the share menu, and select an AirPrint printer.

Confirm the paper loaded in the printer matches the paper selected in the poster layout.

How to do it in PrintTiler

  1. Open PrintTiler in Safari and choose an image from Photos or Files.

Printing tips

Keep the browser open until the PDF download has completed.
Check that every PDF page is selected in the AirPrint preview.
