PDF poster printing guide
How to Print a PDF Poster on Multiple Pages
A PDF poster can be tiled at print time with a PDF viewer that offers poster mode. If that option is unavailable, export the single poster page as a high-resolution PNG or JPG, then use PrintTiler to create an already-separated multi-page PDF.
PrintTiler does not currently accept PDF uploads directly. This page describes the accurate supported workflow instead of sending a PDF to an unsupported input.
Two ways to tile a PDF poster
If your PDF viewer has poster tiling, select that option and configure scale, overlap, labels, and cut marks in the print dialog.
Otherwise, export the poster page as a high-resolution PNG or JPG. Upload that image to PrintTiler, choose the paper grid, download the tiled PDF, and print it at actual size.
Common uses
One-page poster PDFs
Enlarge a single designed PDF page across home-printer sheets.
Maps and plans

Convert a designed page to an image before creating the tiled output.
How to do it in PrintTiler
- Confirm that the PDF contains the single poster page you want to enlarge.
- Use PDF poster mode, or export that page as a high-resolution PNG or JPG.
- If using an image, upload it to PrintTiler and select the paper grid.
- Print the tiled pages at actual size and assemble them in order.

FAQ
Can I upload a PDF directly to PrintTiler?
No. The current editor accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, and SVG images. Export the required PDF page as a PNG or JPG first.
Can Adobe Acrobat print one PDF page across sheets?
Yes. Adobe calls this Poster printing and provides tile scale, overlap, cut-mark, and label options.
What image format should I export from the PDF?
PNG is a strong choice for text and line art. A high-quality JPG can work well for photo-heavy posters.
What if exact printed scale matters?
Print a proof and measure a known reference. Viewer and printer scaling can affect the physical result.
Ready to make the tiled PDF?
Open the editor, upload your image, choose the paper size, and export a PDF for home or office printing.
