Print a Google Slides Poster on Multiple Pages

Make a class sign or event poster in Google Slides, then divide the finished slide into pages for a home printer.

Open the Google Slides poster layout

Design one slide as the complete poster

Put the whole design on one slide; six separate slides do not automatically form one picture. Choose a slide shape that suits your poster. Use large labels, keep the title away from joins, and move photo seams away from faces. For a timeline, use fewer, larger blocks; make diagram arrows and labels bold.

Download and inspect the image

On a computer, select the intended slide and choose File → Download, then an available PNG or JPEG current-slide option. Interface wording and available formats can vary. Inspect the downloaded image for shifted text, crop and pixel dimensions; a small image may look soft at poster size.

Choose a grid for the slide

The suggested two rows by three columns of landscape Letter paper use six sheets and have a nominal footprint of 33 × 17 inches (838.2 × 431.8 mm), before margins, trimming or overlap. Choose A4 instead if that is your paper, and adapt the grid to the image shape. Printer margins may leave unprinted strips even in seamless mode; test adjacent sheets.

Keep the source editable

Keep the shared Slides file as your editable original. The downloaded image is a print intermediate: if a date changes, update the source and export again. For a board with dense fine print, separate readable panels may work better than enlarging a single image.

Print and assemble the poster

  1. 1. Finish and proofread the single poster slide.
  2. 2. Download the selected slide as PNG or JPEG and inspect it.
  3. 3. Open the suggested layout, upload the image, and select the paper, orientation, rows and columns.
  4. 4. Check cropping and joins in the preview, then export the tiled PDF.
  5. 5. Print a proof at Actual Size or 100%, one PDF page per sheet; do not tile it again. Print the rest with the same settings, align and tape from behind.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload a Slides link?

Download the completed slide as PNG or JPEG and upload the image.

Can one slide cover six sheets?

Yes. A grid of two rows and three columns creates six tiles; match the paper in the editor and printer.

What if a title crosses a seam?

Move the title in Slides or change the grid, then check the preview; export a fresh image after editing.

Can the shared file stay editable?

Yes. Keep the Slides source and use the image as a separate printing export.
