FAQ
Why do margins reduce the assembled image size?
A printer margin removes usable image area from every sheet edge. The calculator subtracts the selected margin from both sides of each dimension.
What does overlap do?
Overlap repeats a narrow strip of image on adjacent pages to make alignment and taping easier. Repeated strips reduce the unique assembled image area.
What overlap should I start with?
A small overlap such as 5 mm is a practical planning value. The best value depends on trimming method and printer accuracy.
Is the result exact for every printer?
No. Printer drivers and hardware can add scaling or unprintable borders. Measure a proof page for scale-critical work.
