Make a Giant Christmas Coloring Poster

Make a Giant Christmas Coloring Poster

Turn one festive outline into a large coloring activity for a family or classroom. Print the image in tiles and join the sheets before coloring.

Choose line art made for coloring

Choose artwork you created or have permission to print. Trees, stockings, gifts or a village work well with thick black outlines, white backgrounds and large spaces. Avoid gray photo shading, clutter and extremely fine lines; younger children need larger areas. If using generated art, inspect strange shapes and unreadable text before printing. PrintTiler divides an image; it does not turn a photo into a coloring page.

Pick a practical size

A 2 × 2 A4 grid is manageable for one child at a table. The suggested 3 × 3 portrait A4 grid uses nine sheets, nominally 630 × 891 mm before unprintable margins, overlap or trimming; it offers room for a small group. A 4 × 4 grid needs more paper and supervision. Adjust for the available table or wall and test adjacent sheets.

Prepare the coloring surface

Print a black-and-white proof to check line weight before printing all pages at actual size. Align the artwork and tape from behind so crayons do not catch on tape. Protect the table beneath markers and test for bleed-through. For young children a flat tabletop can be easier than a wall; use suitable wall protection if mounting.

Use the artwork again

Print smaller individual copies of the same illustration first, then color the giant version together. Keep the source image for another occasion and display the finished work if desired.

Print and assemble the activity

  1. 1. Save a clear black-and-white outline as PNG or JPG.
  2. 2. Open the suggested layout and upload your own artwork.
  3. 3. Check the preview and crop so important outlines remain visible.
  4. 4. Export the tiled PDF and print a black-and-white proof at 100%, one PDF page per sheet; do not tile it again.
  5. 5. Print the rest with the same settings, align and tape from behind on a protected surface.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a normal printer?

What paper works with markers?

Use paper suited to the markers, test for bleed-through and protect the surface underneath.

No. Upload finished line art; the editor splits it into printable pages.

Can I print without color ink?

Black outlines on a white background are suitable for black-and-white printing.
